Formerly known as Hacienda Bajo Mono, this remarkable farm is located in western Panama, stretching across thirty-three hectares along the Bajo Mono Canyon on the slopes of Volcán Barú at an altitude of 1,400–1,600 m a.s.l. It utilizes pristine water from the adjacent Caldera River. Benefiting from nutrient-rich volcanic soil, the farm is also surrounded by daily afternoon mist that locals call “Bajareque.”
This Geisha is one of the cultivars present in their “Garden of Varietals.” It showcases fragrant descriptors of mojito, jasmine, and white tea, complemented by tropical fruit sweetness. A controlled washed process using yeasts makes this lot stand out and clearly express its characteristic terroir.
